Xicheng District’s Primary and Secondary School Students Take Part in Colorful Activities during Summer Vacation

Xicheng District Science and Technology Museum for Youth holds various activities during the summer vacation.
During this year’s summer vacation, Xicheng District’s children’s palace, science and technology museum for youth, libraries, culture centers and communities carry out a variety of activities for primary and secondary school students, offering them a colorful and meaningful holiday.
Xicheng District Children’s Palace held a series of "Summer of 2021, Visit the Most Beautiful China" activities, including traditional Chinese culture experiencing activities, Winter Olympics sports experiencing activities, theme readings, virtue story collection and presentation activity, and so on. Xuanwu Children’s Palace opens dance, fine arts, martial arts, taekwondo, flute, accordion and other courses.
Xicheng District Library will host 10 traditional Chinese cultural activities for children, including 2 children’s reading lectures and 8 handicraft experiencing activities.
Xicheng District Science and Technology Museum for Youth has designed science and technology courses and activities for students, which will last for two weeks. The 14 science and technology courses and activities include the "Traveling the Solar System" popular science course, a series of natural exploration courses, a robot carnival, a model carnival, etc., as well as two ecology popular science activities, with the theme of the Beijing Grand Canal culture and color painting of Chinese ancient architecture.
Xicheng District No. 1 Culture Center opens a drama summer camp. Xicheng District No. 2 Culture Center will stage a children’s martial arts drama and a children’s song and dance drama at the Theater of the Cultural Palace of Nationalities in early August, and the audience can get the tickets for free.
The Liuxuelu Community of Tianqiao Sub-district organized local young people to learn Chinese characters via the AR technology, paint graffiti, make paper-folding works, and experience engraved block printing craftsmanship in Beijing Tianqiao Museum.
