Newly Expanded Financial Street Residents Life Service Center Better Serves Residents
The Financial Street Residents Life Service Center was expanded recently. At the entrance to the center, an area of more than 800 square meters is transformed into a public space, where local residents can enjoy leisure time and take part in theme activities.
Located in No.8 Guangcai Hutong, Financial Street Sub-district, Xicheng District, the center provides not only life services, but also fresh fruit and vegetables. According to the relevant person in charge of the center, the area of the center is expanded from 800 square meters last year to 1500 square meters this year. Serving nearly 30000 residents in five communities, it becomes the largest life service center in the surrounding area.
Seniors account for 65 percent of the total customers, so the center has made more efforts to better serve them. For example, there is a reading area with 1700 books for elderly people. And residents can also borrow books and read them at home. The dining area opens from 10 am to 10 pm, offering meals for elderly people at an inexpensive price. And residents can also enjoy reservation service and delivery service.
In addition to goods in full supply and at reasonable prices, the center focuses on services which residents really need after it gets expanded. For instance, it provides haircut service, as well as watch and mobile phone repair service. In the future, the center plans to organize parent-child activities, sell green plants and offer rehabilitation service according to community statistics.
This year, Xicheng District guarantees the stable supply of emergency supplies and daily necessities. 14 life service outlets have been built this year, accounting for 70 percent of the total in the whole year.
