Xicheng District’s Time-Honored Restaurants Launch Delicious Cold Noodles in Summer
As the Summer Solstice arrived and the temperature keeps climbing, it is a tradition in northern China that people love eating noodles, especially cold noodles, in summer. To meet the consumers’ needs, Xicheng District’s time-honored restaurants launch various kinds of noodles, expand opening hours, and offer online and offline reservation service.
Emei Restaurant’s cold noodles with shredded chicken and spicy sauce, Xinchuan Noodle Restaurant’s cold noodles with sesame sauce, Xingyuan Restaurant’s Daoxiao noodles, and Dinggongbao Restaurant’s soup noodles with stewed pork backbone are all best sellers. Daily sales of Emei Restaurant’s cold noodles reach 10000, 40 to 50 percent of which are take-out orders. Sales of Xinchuan Noodle Restaurant’s cold noodles in the Summer Solstice exceeded that of last year, and sales of its Xinjiekou headquarters are two or three times as usual. As it’s a time of peak demand, cooks of Xinchuan Noodle Restaurant usually start to make cold noodles from 6 am, and the restaurant also suggests consumers make a reservation in advance. Sales of Xingyuan Restaurant’s Daoxiao noodles in the Summer Solstice amounted to 1500. And it also expands its opening hours. From 6 am to 9 pm, consumers can enjoy the delicious noodles at an inexpensive price.
Moreover, many time-honored restaurants in Xicheng District launch iced products. For example, the wandouhuang(pea cake)-flavored ice cream made by the Huguosi Snack Store sells very well. And its headquarters store in Huguosi Street also launches iced wandouhuang.
