Xicheng District Promotes Smart Management of Communities
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Xicheng District will promote the application of new equipment and technologies in its jurisdiction, in order to achieve a comprehensive upgrade of urban infrastructure, promote industrial transformation and development, and construct the smart city.
Since the implementation of the "Regulations of Beijing Municipality on the Management of Domestic Waste", Xicheng District has applied the blockchain technology uniquely, as well as used the functions of the City Brain and the sub-district-level platform to build an all-in-one management platform featuring data collection, data statistics, assessment and supervision, as well as decision analysis. In this way, Xicheng District manages waste classification meticulously throughout the whole process.
Xicheng District has installed HD video security cameras in residential communities, lifts, underground garages, etc., as well as falling object monitoring system near tall buildings. Meanwhile, intelligent charging and monitoring system is installed in communities. Once there is a problem with the charging device, the power will be automatically cut off to eliminate fire hazards in time.
Xicheng District also builds senior care service stations and promotes smart senior care model. Emergency calling device can protect the safety of elderly people living alone, and smart mattress and sphygmomanometer can monitor their daily activities. The smart mattress can be used as a 24-hour electrocardiograph, which can monitor the physical condition of elderly people who can’t take care of themselves. If one’s physical condition gets worse, the staff member controlling the background system of the mattress will contact the local community and his/her family members in time.
Technology changes life. New technologies ensure the safety of residents and provide more convenience in their daily life.
