Have a Happy Beijing-Style Spring Festival in Xicheng District
This year’s Chinese New Year is a little different for some people. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many people choose to stay in Beijing to spend the holidays instead of returning to their hometowns. They have had a happy Beijing-style Spring Festival in Xicheng District.
From the Chinese New Year’s Eve (February 11) to the Lantern Festival (February 26), the Grand View Garden prepares creative Spring Festival goods and A Dream of Red Mansions-themed cultural innovation products, and will hold a lantern riddle guessing activity. The official account of the Grand View Garden Temple Fair on the WeSee app shares video clips about the temple fairs in previous years and other Spring Festival topics.
The Capital Cinema launched a Spring Festival promotion activity. Consumers can send postcards in a flash shop. And they can also book a whole VIP hall to watch movies with their families.
Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center invited drama-lovers to talk about dramas with directors, performers and playwrights online. And the Tianqiao Museum launched a video called "Spend Spring Festival in Tianqiao" on February 11 (Chinese New Year’s Eve), as the first one of the series of "Festivals and Holidays in Tianqiao" videos. In the video, the audience can see folk customs and scenes in the Tianqiao area during the Spring Festival.
