Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation Organizes Training Activities to Help Disabled People Get Jobs
Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation organizes a series of training activities to improve disabled persons’ vocational skills, and expand employment channels.
Recently, Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation cooperated with Beijing Runwei Guoyi Cultural Exchange Co., Ltd to hold a barista training activity for some disabled people in Xicheng District. In order to ensure that all the trainees had a good experience, sign language translation service was offered, and a voice-to-text converter was also equipped. What the teacher said was directly showed on the TV screen, improving the learning efficiency of the students. Previously, Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation and Jude Huatian Vocational Skills Training School had co-held a Chinese pastry chef training course.
Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation has organized 12 skill training activities this year, benefiting nearly 200 local disabled people, an official said. It organizes vocational skills, intangible cultural heritage skills, and entrepreneurship skills training activities to enhance the employability of people with disabilities. Its staff members share training information with the disabled persons in the WeChat group, and record their needs for skills training. In the skills training camp at the employment and entrepreneurship base, two intangible cultural heritage craftsmen shared their skills to help disabled people get employed or start their own businesses. In the next step, Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation will take various training activities held this year as well as the disabled persons’ skills into consideration, and recommend trainees to employers in relevant industries.
