Watercolor block printing technology
Watercolour block printing has been included on Beijing’s municipal intangible cultural heritage list and the same the national list enjoying State protection. Watercolour block printing is an engraved-block printing technique with a history of some 1,000 years. It was used to duplicate well-known books and albums that were resistant to fading and rot. The Rongbaozhai Study on Beijing Liulichang Culture Street is most famous for this technique and is famous for its duplication standards. The company’s watercolour block printings have been welcomed by artists and collectors for centuries.
