The Capital Museum is equipped with the most advanced technology and complete functions. It is one of the landmarks of Beijing. Artefacts exhibited in the Capital Museum are mainly past years’ collections and unearthed historical heritages of the Beijing area, combined with the latest research results concerning the history, cultural heritages, archaeology and relevant subjects of Beijing. Today the museum has a collection of 250,000 pieces of cultural relics, including bronzes, pottery, paintings, calligraphic works, stone carvings, coins, jade, seals, embroidery, bamboo, wooden and ivory articles, statues of Buddha, stationery and folk handicrafts. Some of them are rare whether at home and abroad.
