Mei Lanfang Theatre
The Mei Lanfang Theatre is named for Beijing opera master Mei Lanfang (1894–1961). The whole building is a blend of a traditional opera theatre with a modern construction style. It has five stories aboveground and two stories underground and can seat 1,068 opera fans. A subsidiary of the China National Peking Opera Theatre, the Mei Lanfang Theatre occupies 13,000 square metres and is composed of a Peking Opera Art Exhibition Hall, Multi-Function Hall and Recording Room. It is a high-class theatre for performances, exhibitions and videography.
