Xicheng District’s Time-Honored Restaurants Launch Fresh Spring Dishes
It’s time to enjoy spring vegetables as the spring arrives. Time-honored restaurants in Xicheng District have launched spring dishes with fresh and tender vegetables, to help the customers eat up the season’s bounty.
Ma lan tou, peanut sprouts, shepherd’s purse, spring bamboo shoots, mustard greens, and sweet green rice ball... There are so many spring dishes provided by the time-honored restaurants this year. Using their excellent culinary skills, such as blanching, frying, mixing, and braising, the cooks offer the diners a feast for their eyes and palate. "These spring dishes present the taste of the spring. The vegetables are fresh and tender, good for our health," Ms. Wang said happily, who dined at Tongchunyuan Restaurant.
Time-honored restaurants owned by Beijing Huatian Catering Group, such as Tongheju Restaurant, Tongchunyuan Restaurant, Makai Restaurant (Gulou branch), Huatian Eryouju Meat Pie Shop, and Qingfeng Steamed Dumpling Shop, have been promoting traditional Chinese food culture over the years. According to different solar terms, they launch new dishes with fresh ingredients, to meet the customers’ need for seasonal food.
