Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Held in Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center
A Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei intangible cultural heritage exhibition was held in Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center from November 19 to 25, jointly organized by Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. Intangible cultural heritage handicrafts from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei were displayed in the exhibition.
Nearly 50 exhibits were mainly intangible cultural heritage handicrafts representing traditional art and traditional skills. Those intangible cultural heritage items are under national, provincial, municipal, district or county level protection. Every piece of work is exquisitely made and lifelike, showing the imperial culture, local folk customs, unique cultural and regional characteristics, and superb skills of intangible cultural heritage inheritors.
The exhibition is carefully planned and jointly organized by Xicheng District Bureau of Culture and Tourism of Beijing Municipality, Heping District Bureau of Culture and Tourism of Tianjin Municipality, Hedong District Culture Center of Tianjin Municipality, Fuping County Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism of Hebei Province, and Zhangbei County Culture Center of Hebei Province. The event aims to raise people’s awareness of the protection of intangible cultural heritage, as well as to allow the public to have close contact with traditional Chinese culture and exquisite intangible cultural heritage skills.
