Ten years ago, Peking Opera was selected among the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Carrying forward the art of Peking Opera and inheriting its cultural essence are not only the historical mission that Xicheng District should undertake, but also the responsibility that Xicheng District must take. Xicheng District has been building the cultural brand "Origin of Peking Opera" since 2018. A series of measures such as deepening research on Peking Opera, carrying out key projects and holding activities have been taken to allow more people to know and carry forward the Peking Opera culture.
