Taoranting Sub-district Held Renewable Resources Recycling Activity
Taoranting Sub-district carried out renewable resources recycling activity at Nanhuali Community and Longquan Community recently.
During the activity, residents took paper boxes, plastic bottles, cans and other recyclable waste from their homes to the site. After the staff weighed the waste, the residents received points for exchanging small gifts or got bags for waste sorting according to their will. The staff also informed residents that they could make online appointments on an app. And then, the staff will come to the door to collect the recyclable waste, and residents will also receive points.
In addition to the renewable resources recycling activity, Taoranting Sub-district also held live waste sorting lectures online in Dajixiang Community, Nanhuali Community and Xinxingli Community. A senior waste sorting lecturer was invited to talk about waste sorting, and explain Beijing’s newly revised regulation on domestic waste management. The lecturer chose a different theme in each lecture to popularize waste sorting knowledge to residents.
At present, Taoranting Sub-district has extensively publicized waste sorting. All residents in its jurisdiction have known waste sorting, and more and more people start to sort garbage.
