Contactless Shopping Service Covers All Communities of Xicheng District


In order to reduce the times of residents’ going out to shop, thus to prevent cross infection of the novel coronavirus, Xicheng District Bureau of Commerce promotes the "contactless shopping" direct delivery in the whole district. Residents are encouraged to buy vegetables, order food and go shopping online. The services cover all communities of Xicheng District now.

Contactless vegetables delivery: community living service stations have designed WeChat mini-programs and applications for residents to order vegetables, created "community fruit and vegetable delivery" WeChat groups, launched an online "Fruit and Vegetable Express", and introduced the "community epidemic prevention service station" of Wu Mart’s Dmall. Special vehicles are used for delivery. Residents can pick up goods without contact with the deliveryman within the agreed time, which can avoid mass gathering to the greatest extent.

Online food ordering: many time-honored restaurants of Huatian Food Group have launched pre-order services. They have also cooperated with Ele.me and Meituan to provide online food ordering and delivery services, such as home delivery and group set meal delivery. At present, 306 catering companies in Xicheng District are offering online food ordering and delivery services to residents.

Online shopping: Xicheng District Bureau of Commerce has also encouraged large shops to develop new models of online shopping, such as shopping on WeChat groups and live stream shopping, so that residents can place orders online and enjoy non-contact delivery service.

Up to February 24, Xicheng District boasts more than 12000 orders with 36 tons of daily necessities each day. Each living service station can provide services for at least 2 to 3 communities.
