10000 Cups Exhibition Featuring 10 Highlights Opens at Beijing Fun
Beijing Fun collaborates with LINJOY, China Arts and Crafts Association, Jingdezhen Workstation of craftschina.cn, 751 Design Store, Da Liang Zao (addlz.cn) and other organizations to bring the third cultural exhibition of this summer at Beijing Fun to the public — the "10000 Cups Exhibition" opens at the century-old Quanyechang. Ten exhibition and interactive areas, as the highlights of the exhibition, are waiting for citizens to visit.
More than 10000 cups in different styles are displayed in the exhibition. There is an "English afternoon tea cups" exhibition held by the British House, a Beijing Fun-based British afternoon tea house, displaying the Harrods series of exhibits and products of the Duchy Originals founded by Charles, Prince of Wales. There is also a joint exhibition of five famous porcelain kilns in China, displaying contemporary porcelain masterpieces by national masters of Ru Kiln, Jun Kiln and Guan Kiln, showing the charm of Chinese intangible cultural heritage.
Exhibits of the "How Time Looks: Ancient Porcelain" exhibition are outstanding ancient porcelain works made in Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. "The Infinite: Jingdezhen Award-winning Tea Sets Exhibition" brings together the winners of China Ceramic Tea Set Competition. The Jingdezhen special exhibition shows advanced craftsmanship and exclusive creativity from the craftsmen of Jingdezhen, a city in Jiangxi province, China. The "Cups for State Banquet" exhibition exhibits Chinese porcelain cups for the G20, APEC, and BRICS summit, telling stories of China with Chinese porcelain.
In addition, the exhibition also uses light and shadow new media interactive devices to immerse the visitors’ vision and hearing in the ocean of light and shadow, and the visitors can interact with a variety of cups as well. In the interactive area of “"Sound of China: The River in Me", China’s first giant-screen music recording film "The River in Me" is played on the site.
The "10000 Cups Exhibition" is on view from now until July 28. Opening hours are from 12:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday, and from 11:00 to 21:00 on the weekend.
