Fruit and Vegetables Convenience Van Benefits Residents in Niujie
Living in Building 3, No.2 District, Niujie Xili, Xicheng District, Ms. Feng bought fresh tomatoes coming from Daxing District on her doorstep at about 7 o’clock in the morning. According to the person in charge of Niujie Sub-district Citizen Service Center, Niujie Sub-district has cooperated with Xicheng District Bureau of Commerce to get a fruit and vegetables convenience van settled in the community, so that residents can buy fresh and affordable fruit and vegetables on their doorstep.
The convenience van opens from 7:00 am to 5 pm 6 days a week to ensure that residents buy fresh fruit and vegetables. It mainly sells food on site, and provides delivery service for elderly residents with limited mobility. It will also change the number and variety of fruit and vegetables according to the needs of residents.
In recent years, the Niujie area has continuously increased community convenience stores and fruit and vegetables outlets. There are a total of 31 large supermarkets, convenience stores, fruit and vegetables stores and convenience vans in the 1.44-square-kilometer area now.
