Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation Offered Vocational Skills Training
Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation has opened vocational skills training courses on computer and hairdressing since April, to lay the foundation for the future employment of disabled people.
Recently, Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation and Beijing Xicheng Economics and Technology College co-opened a computer skills training class. This is the second vocational skills training class opened by Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation this year. The three-month training class contains computer basics, word processing and data processing courses, building a learning platform for disabled people having no computer knowledge to lay the foundation for daily use of computer and future employment.
Previously, Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation also opened a hairdressing training class for persons with disabilities. During the two-month training, students will learn a variety of hair styling and hairdressing skills, improve their professional skills, and prepare for the national vocational skills competition for disabled persons.
The relevant person in charge of Xicheng District Disabled Persons’ Federation said that they opened the vocational skills training classes according to the requests of the previous vocational skills competitions and the new employment and entrepreneurial trend, as well as the market demand and the characteristics of persons with disabilities. This year, they will do vocational skills training in five programs and build 14 vocational rehabilitation-oriented employment institutions in Xicheng District.
