“Touching Xicheng” 2018 Person of the Year Award Announced
The award ceremony of the "Touching Xicheng" 2018 Person of the Year Award was held at the Binfen Theater of the Xichenjg District No.1 Culture Center on March 26. The list of 10 award winners and 11 persons who are shortlisted for the award was unveiled and they shared their touching stories.
All people at the award ceremony sang Me and My Motherland in chorus.
Shi Guoyong (left) is a disabled person and also a science popularization writer.
Son of Xia Boyu, China's first person relying on prosthetic legs to climb Mount Everest, received the award on behalf of his father.
Qu Limeng (right) is a post-1990s policewoman who fearlessly came at a knife-armed thug.
With 30 years of medical practice, Hua Yang (right) opened up a precedent for Chinese cerebrovascular ultrasound.
Mao Zhong is an inheritor of folk culture.
Wang Huili is a member of the "Most Beautiful Xicheng Dama". (Xicheng Dama are volunteers, usually women in late middle-age.)
Sanitation workers set up an innovation team.
Medical team of the Healing and Care Unit of the Desheng Sub-district Community Health Service Center won the award.
