Located in Guang’anmennei Dajie, the Heniantang Pharmacy went into operation in 1405, the third year of the Yongle reign (1402–1424) of the Ming Dynasty. It produces Chinese traditional medicines designed to ensure good health. This pharmacy is admired for producing Chinese traditional, high-quality medicinal pills and liquids that are pure and qualified and work well. Making good use of traditional Chinese medicine, the Heniantang Pharmacy has developed into a health care enterprise with a traditional Chinese medicine research institute, traditional Chinese clinic, disease prevention and treatment centre for the elderly and a traditional Chinese medicine wholesale outlet.
