2018 Beijing International Forum on People-to-People Friendship to Open
Co-hosted by the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (BPAFFC), the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, the Beijing Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and the Xicheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the three-day 2018 Beijing International Forum on People-to-People Friendship will start on May 27. About 80 representatives of non-governmental organizations, international friendship organizations and institutions, and Beijing’s sister cities from nearly 30 countries including the United States, Argentina, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Japan and South Korea will attend the event.
The forum will include a main forum, three sub-forums, and a thematic exchange meeting. It will focus on a discussion of "cultural inheritance and development and international exchange and cooperation", "youth’s contribution to friendly inheritance", "strengthening city management and enhancing city’s quality", etc. Particularly, the forum will set up a China-Japan-South Korea Youth Exchange Meeting on the theme of "interactive exchanges, innovation and entrepreneurship, and win-win cooperation". The Xicheng District People’s Government will prepare the sub-forum on "cultural inheritance and development and international exchange and cooperation".
Since the Beijing International Forum on People-to-People Friendship was founded in 2011, three forums have been successfully held in the past few years. The forum is a platform for friendly exchange between Beijing and the world.
