Cold Noodles Sell Well in Xicheng District’s Time-Honored Restaurants


As the summer solstice has arrived, Xicheng District’s time-honored restaurants start to provide cold noodles for customers to spend this summer. On the Summer Solstice Day, chain stores of Huatian Xinchuan Noodle Restaurant were expected to sell 50000 bowls of Xinchuan cold noodles with sesame sauce. Chain stores of Huatian Emei Restaurant were expected to sell 10000 bowls of Emei cold noodles with sesame sauce. Chain stores of Huatian Yanji Restaurant are expected to sell 10000 bowls of Korean-style cold noodles. Chain stores of Huatian Xingyuan Restaurant are expected to sell 1500 bowls of Daoxiao noodles. And sales of well-known noodle restaurants such as Chunyuan Xiaolin Restaurant and Ding Gong Bao Restaurant are expected to exceed sales in previous years.

Eating noodles on the Summer Solstice Day is a tradition in Beijing. Besides famous noodle restaurants, many time-honored restaurants also launch various kinds of cold noodles with their own characteristics. Kaorou Ji Grilled Meat Restaurant launches noodles with braised fish. Emei Restaurant (Beilishi Road Branch) offers noodles with new flavor, such as cold noodles with shredded cucumber and cold noodles with shredded fish. Qu Yuan Restaurant launches Hunan-style rice noodles with sour pickled cowpea, beef, or spare ribs. Huatian Yanji Restaurant was expected to sell more than 5000 dishes of cold spicy beef with sauce on the Summer Solstice Day.
