 2017 Beijing Maliandao International Tea Culture Expo Opened


2017 Beijing International Tea Expo, 2017 Beijing Maliandao International Tea Culture Expo and 2017 Zunyi Tea Culture Festival opened at the Beijing Exhibition Center and the Maliandao Tea Street on June 16, co-hosted by China Tea Marketing Association (CTMA), Xicheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and the People’s Government of Zunyi City, Guizhou Province.
 
Xicheng District Mayor Wang Shaofeng made a speech at the opening ceremony. He said, as the most distinctive tea culture area in China, the Maliandao Tea Street includes more than 10 tea culture display areas and tea trade areas, selling tens of thousands kinds of famous tea around the country, known as "China’s No.1 tea street". The international tea culture event has been successfully held for 16 years, attracting widespread attention. At the opening ceremony, Xicheng District and Zunyi City signed the Memorandum on Deepening Friendly Exchanges and Cooperation between Xicheng District of Beijing Municipality and Zunyi City of Guizhou Province.
 
After the opening ceremony, a Huangshan tea presentation and a special presentation on the international tea event were held at the lecture hall of Beijing Exhibition Centre, where various kinds of tea products from Huangshan and Zunyi were promoted.
 
2017 Beijing International Tea Expo attracted visitors from all over the world. There are 1000 exhibition stands in the 25000-square-meter exhibition area, displaying dark tea, black tea, white tea, yellow tea, oolong tea, green tea, tea food, tea sets, purple clay sand-fired pot, tea ceremony clothes, tea table, Chinese incense ceremony, tea-leaf machinery and tea packaging. And colorful tea-themed events were also held during the Expo.
